New Preston Kitchen Goods owner, Marty Rook, is a food aficionado of the highest order. Trained at the CULINARY INSTITUTE OF AMERICA in Hyde Park, NY, Marty furthered his experience at The Moors and Chester on Cape Cod, and later at Picholine and La Grenouille in New York City, the latter as a patissier. What sets New Preston Kitchen Goods apart is Marty's first-hand, real-world knowledge of what it takes to prepare, cook, and present the perfect meal for any season.

With great cookbooks, and all-star brands like Alessi, All-Clad, iittala, and Simon Pearce, you're armed and ready from stovetop to table. Need foie gras? Truffle oils from Italy? Gourmet coffees and teas? New Preston Kitchen Goods has them all. If you can't find it here, you probably don't need it in your kitchen.

Located in the really quite fabulous, walkable, historic shopping VILLAGE OF NEW PRESTON, New Preston Kitchen Goods occupies an elegant 1850 structure, renovated in 2002 when Marty and his partner Richard Wallgren bought the building. (For forty years prior to that, it was the New Preston Pharmacy, and the rooms still have that apothecary feel.)

New Preston Kitchen Goods is a destination from everywhere in the region. Don't miss Marty's fresh eggs from his own chickens, with flavor second to none in the county. 100% of the proceeds from egg sales are donated to the ASPCA.
